Career
As
a business development, marketing and sales professional, I spent over 30
successful corporate career years serving the technology and information
systems industry. My work focused on pioneering and implementing
technology strategies and plans that innovated education, government,
commercial businesses, and the healthcare marketplace. Over the past 15
years, my professional work has led me to become an award winning entrepreneur,
small business owner, and honored with several local and national business and
technology awards including the International new product exposition’s
recognition for eight inventor awards which included Woman Inventor of the Year
and Best U.S. Technology (besting 1,000 inventions representing 20 countries
worldwide(!), Minnesota Finance and Commerce Innovator of the Year, top
finalist award for the next breakthrough idea in the Governor’s Minnesota Cup
competition, and The Minneapolis-St Paul Business Journal’s awards for woman to
watch and top minority business…
As an awarded and recognized woman minority business, my career work has positioned me to pioneer and serve non-traditional technical industries not traditionally pursued by women. I have had many successful accomplishments, recognition and rewards but also have faced many challenges. These challenges have inspired me to step up to becoming an active supporter, advocate, role model, leader and mentor for women, young women, and girls with the hope of breaking the glass ceiling to advance the role of women and minorities in non traditional industries. Also, to advocate strongly around character education and ethical leadership... With that said, at this time and season, my next steps goals include posturing my personal and professional accomplishments that engages my abilities and opportunities to play a key role to serve and influence Corporate America’s leadership team and board room as a way ahead to support my business, industry and advocacy work focused on the personal and professional development of women, minorities, and students pursuing non-traditional industry careers.
The award winning patented invention is ERBUS LifeGRID Technologies (LGT), a mobile and portable scalable solution for survival in a box. As humanitarian technology, we are putting the soul behind the steel in solving the problem of providing immediate critical life-sustaining infrastructure support of utilities including power, water, heat/cool air conditioning, communications, lighting, etc., and protective sheltering when none is available or non-existent to help save or sustain life. The ERBUS LGT is being developed to address a major market in the global need to secure our nation’s homeland and to help supply our global neighbors with smart, reliable, and innovative emergency management technology and tools for state, local, and federal government, military (NGB/National Guard), commercial first responder organizations, medical/public health, commercial businesses, institutions, humanitarian aid and relief agencies.
The innovative packaging of ERBUS provides immediate availability of multiple “best-in-class” commercial components integrated into one efficient pre-engineered turnkey system that can be rapidly deployed by trailer or truck via air, land, or water as a “First-IN” critical management logistics solution in the immediate first hours and days to help save lives. Additionally, the innovative packaging of ERBUS LGT provides extended value to non-emergency situations, education, commercial use and recreation, community and special events. This “Swiss army knife,” packaged approach for getting people and tools on the ground at the same time provides far greater efficiency and control in mitigating against further risk of loss of life and resources in the initial critical hours and days following the disaster, crisis, or event. For the National Incident Management System (NIMS) requirements, ERBUS LGT provides an interoperable management solution to help First Responder organization maintain compliance and to mitigate technological and logistical issues associated to the complexity of deployment plans.
In the next steps to commercializing the ERBUS LGT humanitarian technology for worldwide distribution, I hope to bring forward an opportunity to design and build our next generation commercial product with education and private sector manufacturing and licensing partners. I am excited of the mutually potential winning benefits to partnering with all stakeholders to helping close the achievement gap, provide a relevant, valuable learning service project and product to inspire students, young women and girls advance into the field of science and technology, STEM/STEEAM areas, promote service learning and essential skills development, innovation and intellectual property development, strengthen and grow manufacturing, contribute to grow the economy and job creation while at the same time providing a much needed and necessary solution for nation security and safety.
